‘Avengers’ author is about to join DC and make ‘Batgirl’

According to Variety, the man who made the blockbusters The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron is about to return to the world of superhero movies. . However, this time Joss Whedon cooperates with Marvel’s rival DC and Warner Bros. to make his own movie about Batgirl.
This is a work of the DC superhero movie universe (DCEU). Currently, the Batgirl project has no official name or specific producer. Some insiders say it’s only been up for a little over a month.

Batgirl is one of the most popular comic book superheroes but has never had her own movie. The character first appeared on the pages of comics in 1967.
Batgirl, whose real name is Barbara Gordon, is actually the daughter of Sheriff James Gordon. She decided to join the action to eliminate the evil raging in Gotham City.
The Batgirl solo film, which is expected to be directed by Joss Whedon, is the second DCEU film to have a female superhero protagonist after Wonder Woman. The work about female Amazon warriors performed by Gal Gadot is about to premiere on June 2.
Joss Whedon is credited with building the Marvel superhero movie universe (MCU) when helping Disney and Marvel Studios achieve resounding success with The Avengers (2012) and Avengers: Age of Ultron (2014). Before that, he was also known as the creator of the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Meanwhile, DCEU was born quite late: in 2013 with Man of Steel (Man of Steel). Then Warner Bros. and DC continue to launch Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (Batman vs Superman: Light of Justice) and Suicide Squad (Suicide Squad). Both performed very well at the box office, but were unpopular with critics and caused great controversy.
In the coming time, DC is about to release Wonder Woman, Justice League, and Aquaman. Along with its own film about Batgirl, the DCEU is also expected to bring to the audience Suicide Squad 2, Gotham City Sirens (a solo film about Harley Quinn played by Margot Robbie).
There are also The Batman (directed by Matt Reeves), Shazam, and his own movie about Black Adam (played by The Rock), The Flash, and Cyborg.
